MTSU has over 25,000 students – mainly undergraduate students. It consists of various departments ranging from Mass Communication to Aviation to Business to Sciences. MTSU provides most of its graduate students with Graduate Assistantship – which provides a stipend of approximately $700 USD as well as a waiver of the tuition fees.
One can be awarded with either a half or full assistantship. In other words, if one gets half assistantship then he / she would only get approximately 350 per month and half tuition waiver.
A Graduate Assistantship is a form of limited scholarships based on past academic and work experience performance. It is a revaluated every semester by the graduate professor under whom you will be working. These scholarships entitle the candidate to receive a monthly stipend and a waiver of tuition. The percentage of scholarship depend on whether the candidate gets 10 hours or 20 hours of work per week.
Another important thing to mention about Graduate Assistantship, generally they are only for 8 months period (for Spring and Fall Semester Only) but some are available for 12 months period. If the student has got only 8 months, he or she may choose to either undergo an internship or apply for a summer graduate assistantship.
The work generally comprises of grading under-graduate tests, home work, doing office clerical work as well as doing some research in order to assist the professor in their paper. In order for a candidate to avail of these scholarships, he / she would be required to fill up the graduate assistantship form and submit the same along with two or three reference letters.

Research Assistantship: | Assisting the Professor in his Research - Basically for Masters in Science (eg: Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, etc...) - These are generally 12 months Graduate Assistantship |

I would advise you to apply for either the Fall or the Spring Semester.
The chances of getting Aid is the highest in the Fall followed by Spring, but the chances of getting Aid in Spring is SLIM / LIMITED.
Kindly Note : A Completed file contains ALL materials required for admission. An Incomplete file will not be processed untill it is complete!!! And It may be take up to a Full Month for the college to process your Completed Application and offer you admission.
The degree comprises of two majors – (i) Accountancy and (ii) Information Systems. The Information Systems major is equivalent to a Management Information Systems (MIS) concentration got from doing a Masters in Business Administration.
The degree is currently offered as a joint-program between the Accountancy Department and the Information Systems Department in the James Business School at Middle Tennessee State University.
